On Campus Doctors Surgery – Delivering NHS Service to MMU Students

Welcome to The Arch Medical Practice the new home of St Augustine’s Surgery.

The Arch Medical Practice is a newly refurbished GP surgery based in the heart of Hulme, just across the road from Birley Fields campus.

Although The Arch Medical Practice is a community GP surgery, we have a dedicated team who look after MMU students.

Dr Charlotte Kidd and Dr Mark Perry are our named GPs with a special interest in student health. You may have already met them at St Augustine’s Surgery. They are familiar with the current issues students face today and understand their needs. The practice also has many other doctors who will be willing to help with your health needs.

Jean Woodhouse is our student liaison. Jean has worked with MMU students at St Augustine’s Surgery since 2011 and is used to helping students familiarise themselves with the NHS and services available to them in Manchester. Jean also has a very good relationship with Student Service at MMU, enabling us to provide care for all our students in need.

The Arch Medical Practice aims to provide high quality primary healthcare services with a friendly and caring environment for patients, staff and doctors.

Once registered at The Arch Medical Practice you will have access to a wide range of services including pill checks, sexual health screens, reproductive medicine and travel advice to name but a few. Please see the website to learn more about The Arch Medical Practice, our contact details, opening times and our services.
