The Practice Business Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and information technology.
The Practice Business Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Sharon joined The Arch Medical Practice in May 2018. She is always looking for ways to improve the practice or services. You can contact her through the contact us section of this website.
Miss Tracey Johnson (f)
Tracey is our Office Manager and supports the Practice Business Manager in the running of the practice. Tracey should be your first port of call should you have any comments or suggestions about the practice.
Tracey is also our operation manager and is responsible for staff management, I.T queries, stock control, prescription audits and much more. Tracey is the Deputy to the Practice Business manager in her absence.
|Mr Matt Jennison (m)
Matt is our Quality Lead and is responsible for the production of performance and quality standards within the practice, delivered through the Manchester Standards, Quality & Outcomes Framework (QoF) and other initiatives.
Matt also runs weekly audits on drug monitoring searches, quality improvement and data prevalence to ensure good practice data.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
We have a large Reception/Admin staff who are well versed in recognising an emergency situation in which immediate medical attention is required.
Our reception team lead is Mrs Susan Fernley.
A clinical coder is a health information professional whose main duties are to analyse clinical statements and assign standard codes using a classification system.
A clinical coder is responsible for analysing a patient’s medical record, which includes reports and letters transcribed by the medical transcriptionist reviews the patient’s file in detail and converts the documented medical procedures, diagnosis, and resources into codes.
Our Clinical Coding team lead is Mr Matt Jennison.
Medical secretaries provide administrative support to doctors in general practice (GP’s). As well as having strong secretarial skills, our medical secretaries have an understanding of the medical terminology and special administrative practices required in our healthcare environment.
The work of a medical secretary varies from day to day, our medical secretaries have a great deal of patient contact. They are also responsible for dictating letters, sending referrals and much more. Our secretaries will often support and work alongside GP’s, nurses, practice managers, medical receptionists and therapists.
Our Secretarial team lead is Miss Louise Messitt.
Practice Prescribing Team
Our practice prescribing team are responsible for requesting prescriptions and distributing the request to the appropriate clinician or to our practice Pharmacist. On a day to day basis they will chase hospital discharges, medication quires, community pharmacy queries and patient enquiries.
Our practice prescribing team lead is Ms Ucheoma Onwuka.
